Fan Meets Robert Pattinson & Makes Starlight Wish Come True

Posted by Admin in Fans | Photos - (1 Comments)

Robert Pattinson made one of his fans extremely happy by meeting her during the Water for Elephants Sydney promo tour. Here are a couple of photos of Rob and Samantha and you can find out more directly from the Starlight Wish Foundation below.

In the media lately it has been known that Reese Witherspoon is blown away by co-star Robert Pattinson’s popularity: “I think all I can do is stand back and sort of watch it happen because I’m not used to seeing somebody have so many fans”. One of these fans is Starlight wish girl, Samantha.

Not only was Friday 6th May Starlight Day it was also a VERY special day for Samantha as she was granted her Starlight wish. Whilst over 3,000 people turned up to get only a glimpse of the Twilight star, Robert Pattinson, Samantha got to meet him in person. She was the envy of every young fan meeting Robert at his hotel in Sydney. She also got to go down the red carpet for the movie premiere of ‘Water for Elephants’.

A Starlight wish is like a dream come true for a seriously ill young child. Sharing a special, once-in-a-lifetime wish brings a family together, and is an experience that stays with them forever. If you want to get involved and make a difference visit www.starlight.org.au/Howyoucanhelp to find out how.

Harry Potter was voted the most powerful licensed film character of all time, taking 20.8 per cent. Luke Skywalker from Star Wars was a close second with 20.6 per cent, followed by Superman on 20.1 per cent.

Twilight’s Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson) took over 32 per cent of the vote as the most profitable film character of 2010, followed by Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear (27 per cent) and Harry Potter (18 per cent).

The Muppets was voted the TV show most likely to offer the best licensing opportunities should it be revived, with some 35 per cent of respondents putting it ahead of Star Trek (24 per cent) and Friends (seven per cent).

Pattinson Online, a site that has been following Robert Pattinson’s career for years before he was the most famous man on the planet, has a very special project going on. They write:

“Pattinson Online has been given the opportunity to be a part of an amazing project to help promote Rob’s upcoming film, Bel Ami. While we can’t give away too many of the details right now, we can say that a publishing company contacted us for our participation in this fan-centered project and we are very excited!

We are looking for fans and fansites to help out by sending in pictures and fan art related to Bel Ami. More details about what is needed and how to participate can be found here.

This project has a fast-approaching deadline – May 29 – so if you are able and willing to help us promote this on your sites or Twitters, please do so in the next few days. There is no need to feel obligated, but we hope that you will encourage the fans to participate in this unique project.”

So, if inclined head over to Pattinson Online and check it out. Also shout out to the admins over there Joy, Isabel, & Janna are a bunch of fabulous ladies who are all about Rob’s career without stalking him to death.

Fans Organise Robert Pattinson Birthday Projects

Posted by Admin in Fans - (0 Comments)

Fans already know that Rob’s birthday is around the corner (May 13th for those of you who might not know) and several fan sites have already started their 2010 Birthday Projects.

Robert Pattinson Online
, RPattz Daily and RPLife have teamed up and you can find out more about their Birthday Project below:

Since last year’s birthday project was a success (we sent Rob a 100+ page book [filled front to back] of about 2,000+ birthday messages) we decided to create another birthday project for this year!

Instructions on the Project

This year, we want you to create a birthday card for Rob! On a standard 8.5×11 piece of paper (or whatever is the standard size paper in your country), write a simple message to Rob (whether it be ‘Happy Birthday’, ‘Happy 24th’, etc. Just don’t write a novel) and decorate the card however you’d like!

Once you’ve completed your card, scan it onto your computer or take a picture of it. Upload the photo (you can upload it to sites such as Photobucket and TinyPic), and send it to us by using the form here, or by emailing us here: rpobirthdayproject@gmail.com

The deadline to submit your card is May 10!

Display

On or around May 13, we’ll be displaying ALL the cards on the site. You’ll be able to see your own card, as well other cards from fans around the world! It’s a great way to unite Rob’s fan base in wishing him a very Happy Birthday!

Pattinson Online is also organising a Birthday Project:

Rob’s 24th birthday is coming up on May 13, and we’re continuing our annual tradition of gathering birthday messages from his fans! If you would like to leave a birthday message for Rob, please fill out the form here. All of the messages will be compiled and sent to Rob on his birthday!

Messages must be submitted by May 1st.

These are both excellent projects so please go ahead and send Rob your birthday wishes!
