New Article: Robert Pattinson Compared Against World Leaders

Posted by Admin in Press - (1 Comments)

Check out this new article discussing Robert Pattinson’s place in TIME’s 100 list of the most influential people in the world.

Robert Pattinson’s growing popularity gets duly noted by Times Magazine

Young British actor Robert Pattinson has been crowned latest Hollywood heartthrob after the unexpected success of Twilight series which has found him a place among top world leaders, innovators, artists and icon in Time magazine’s list of “2010 Time 100 Poll” candidates.

The publication decided to conduct the poll in order to choose the most influential people in the world with the help of the general public.

Pattinson’s fate will depend on his number of admirers his co-star Kristen Stewart however is unfortunatly missing from the list.

The magazine has given the following reasons for including the young star in the poll: “The Twilight saga has been a boon for the British heartthrob, who plays sparkly, sexy vampire Edward Cullen in the hit franchise. The third installment, Eclipse, comes out this summer, ensuring that Pattinson’s face — however pale — will be omnipresent.”

Entertainment Wise Reviews ‘Remember Me’

Posted by Admin in Films | Press - (0 Comments)

Entertainment Wise have also reviewed Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me and you can check out their review below. Let us know if you agree!

Remember Me sees Robert Pattinson step away from his role as Twilight’s hottest resident vampire, Edward Cullen for the first time and we weren’t sure what to expect.

The film tells the story of Tyler Hawkins (Robert Pattinson), a brooding twenty-one year-old who meets and falls in love with a kindred spirit in the shape of Ally, played by Lost’s Emilie de Ravin.

The film, executively produced by Rob, has very little plot line, simply following the life of troubled teen Tyler, who is haunted by the suicide of his elder brother.
Ally and Tyler both have Daddy issues, linked to the loss of loved ones and find a comfort in one another that neither expected.

The film is clearly aimed at a female auidence (mainly made up of Robsessive’s) and plays quite blatantly on his heartthrob status – not that you’d find us or most of the audience complaining! Frankly at times we didn’t even realise Rob was speaking he looks so damn hot…

But nevertheless he was speaking and proved to be a captivating lead man, going from Twilight fantasy to gritty reality in one fluid motion.

So, back to the plot, just when things look like they could be turning around for Tyler and Ally, a controversial twist at the end of the movie turns the whole thing on it’s head and leaves us with a serious need for the copious amounts of tissues we brought with us…

All in all a complete Rob fest and for fans of the actor you’re in for a serious treat but not one your boyfriend/husband would thank you for dragging him to…

Remember Me is out in cinemas now.

“So the boy can act – this is the best thing he’s done.”

Empire Online

“[Robert Pattinson] doesn’t pull a James Dean Lite, he delivers.”

Hollywood Reporter

“Anyone longing to watch Pattinson do his best James Dean will see it in this deliberately paced story”

Box Office

“Pattinson is much, much better in this touching romantic tale than he was in Twilight or New Moon. It’s a solid performance and one that bodes well for Pattinson’s career after Twilight’s over.”

Is ‘Remember Me’ an Indie Film?

Posted by Admin in Films | Press - (1 Comments)

The contributors over at AltFilm were wondering if Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me is truly an independent film or not. You can read their article below and feel free to let us know if you agree with their verdict.

Is Robert Pattinson’s vehicle Remember Me a true “independent film” or not?

One commenter wrote the following about Remember Me:

“Some of the posters need to look up ‘indie’. … To be truly indie you need a budge [sic] of less than ten mil, not to ever open on more than 500 screens, and have less than three mil in marketing. From what i [sic] understand[...] this movie had none of that. I just wanted to define what indie means.”

The commenter does have a point. However, “indie” definitions vary widely.

The commenter says that a movie must cost less than $10 million.

But…

This is what the Spirit Awards, the topmost “indie” film award, has to say regarding a film’s eligibility as a bona fide “indie”: (more…)

Q: So how did you like this experience, compared to being a vampire in upcoming Twilight movie Eclipse?
RP: “I could be doing a little biting in this movie, in those fights! No, it was great, especially not having to put all that makeup on. Yeah, that was one of the main things. But I read this one after the first Twilight film, and it was always in the back of my mind. I don’t know, there was something different about this. It didn’t fit into like a typical teen movie thing. And I never read a script like it.” (more…)
