The past 12 months have been hugely enjoyable for all of us at RPN as Robert Pattinson kept us busy filming Cosmopolis and promoting Water for Elephants and Breaking Dawn – Part 1. 2012 promises another exciting year for all of us as we look forward to the release of Bel Ami and the final installment of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.
We would like to wish all our readers a happy new year and would like thank you all for your continued support and for making 2011 so much fun!
As you can tell from the recent lack of updates we’ve had to put the site on a short hiatus. Life has incredibly busy lately but we’re hoping to be back on a regular updating schedule as soon as possible.
In the meantime you can still follow us on Twitter @Pattinson_News where we try to keep up with updates and make sure you visit our affiliate sites for all the latest news. We hope you’ll bear with us during this short hiatus.
Today is Rob’s 25th birthday and all of us at RobertPattinsonNews.com would like to wish him a very happy birthday spent with his loved ones! Rob has worked a hell of a lot these last couple of months promoting his latest movie Water for Elephants and he certainly deserved to take some time off and enjoy his birthday celebrations. And on that note the best gift we can all give him is to go and watch the movie and spread the word by taking as many friends along as possible. It’s a fantastic movie with some great performances from Oscar winning actors and it should get all the recognition it deserves!

Here are our exclusive videos from the Water for Elephants premiere in London. We had a fantastic time and wated to share our experience with our readers.
The first video shows the wonderful setting at the Westfield shopping centre and fantastic performances from the acrobats, followed by the arrivals of Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz.
The second video is our favourite as it shows good close ups of Robert Pattinson signing autographs and taking photos with the fans. The video also features Christoph Waltz and director Francis Lawrence. Unfortunately we were unable to catch Reese on camera but we have several pictures of her which we’ll be posting later today.

It has now been one year since I started this site and the domain for Robert Pattinson News was bought. The first post did not go live until April 4th, 2010 but I figured it would be more appropriate to celebrate the date the site was actually started.
I would like to thank all our fantastic readers, Twitter followers and Facebook friends, as well as all our affiliated sites who dedicate significant amounts of time following Rob’s career and sharing news with all of us. To celebrate our 1st anniversary we have redesigned the site to what we think is a much tidier and easier to follow layout and we will also be hosting a giveaway for our readers. A copy of the latest issue of Vanity Fair featuring Robert Pattinson on the cover will be given to one of our lucky readers and you can find out how to win below.

Fans where circling around the papparazzi to stop shooting during a dangerous scene by Rob and Reese according to Contact Music.
Rob’s fans came to his rescue on the set of Water For Elephants – they forced the paparazzi to stop snapping the star as he shot dangerous scenes with Reese Witherspoon.
The Brit plays a circus worker in the new movie, and found himself filming with a variety of animals throughout the shoot.
Snappers frequently descended on the California set to try and catch Pattinson and Witherspoon at work, and at one stage they were distracting the pair during a scene – but the Twilight star’s waiting fans saved the day.
He tells Telepoche magazine, “(The funniest fan experience) happened while I was filming Water for Elephants in which my partner is Reese Witherspoon. We had a scene with elephants but there were so many paparazzi around that it was scaring the animals and it was impossible to film.
“Out of the blue, fans, that were waiting for autographs, had enough and circled around the paparazzi. Teens made big guys run away. It was unreal! I was pleased.”
